Gobble Gobble...Trample?

On Friday, it was the annual sales day otherwise know as, Black Friday. Most stores go all out on sales prices and have customers lined up out the door as early as Thanksgiving evening just to be one of the first few in line. With stores offering 50-85 percent off items, people can get a little monstrous. In Buffalo, New York, at a Target Store, a mob caused a stampede. In 2008, a man died of asphyxiation in Wal-Mart as soon as the doors opened and was trampeled on.  After this Wal-Mart incident the store "took a second look" at it's safety precautions for Black Friday. Why do these outrageous sales prices drive shoppers to go insane? Are the dangers of Black Friday worth the lowest prices on the newly updated electronics? Is it worth having to push an innocent person to get one step closer to an item?
